Sarah FoleySarah founded Perfect Silence with Dan Xenatro in the fall of 2002, when the two were still in high school. She was first exposed to singing through the a cappella worship songs that she sang during church services, and began playing the piano at the age of nine. Sarah writes music and lyrics and also plays guitar.

 

Sarah attends the Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford.  She began studying drawing and painting but quickly discovered a passion for sculpture. She is also a certified yoga teacher and a vegetarian.

 

 

   Dan Xenatro guitar

Dan XenatroDan is a founding member of Perfect Silence.  A proud bassist, he reluctantly switched to the six-string when the band was unable to find a suitable guitarist.  He writes music and lyrics and also plays mandolin.

 

When not playing with Perfect Silence, Dan is interested in filmmaking, theater and political activism.  He is a vegetarian and his favorite food is ice cream. 

 

 

Shane Stylianos mallets, percussion  

Shane Stylianos

Shane has been playing percussion for over thirteen years.  He joined as the group's drummer but switched to mallets in 2007, seeking to play a more melodic role.  He was born in Massachusetts and raised in Wisconsin.  After obtaining a bachelor's degree in music from Franklin Pierce College in Rindge, New Hampshire, he began work for the 94th Army Band in Connecticut.  He has played in various rock bands throughout his career (including Dies Irae, Kosko and the Kosmonauts, and Deasys) and has played in many school ensembles.  He plays mallet percussion, drum set, hand percussion and keyboards, and enjoys writing music and lyrics.
